Filmmaker David Chernushenko promises to “tackle the spin of the big energy lobby and dispel the myths of a ‘green utopia’ envisioned by many.” The film is billed as a candid examination of what a sustainable future may actually look like. It’s Friday afternoon at SFU Woodwards, part of the Projecting Change Film Festival. A clip from the film appears below.
I’ll also be there to cheer on Merran Smith, my boss at Tides Canada, who will be on stage afterwards. Merran will be presenting as one of four energy leaders in a special edition of Power Plant, a popular “green gathering for green leaders” networking event. She’ll be joined by Ashley Webster, of the goBEYOND Campus Climate Network, Thomas Kineshanko, of Habitat Carbon Assets, and my friend Beth Breisnes of Climate Smart.
A smart bunch rounding out an inspirational afternoon. Don’t miss this one, friends.
